AI music distributor policies compared
Start with the kind of audio you made and the places you need it delivered. A service that accepts your recording may still exclude a platform or a monetization feature.

These exclusions describe delivery through the distributor named in that row. They are not a claim that every distributor has the same agreement with each platform. Also, delivery to YouTube Music and enrollment in YouTube Content ID are separate: the latter matches recordings in other people’s videos. Amuse explains the distinction.
Does TuneCore allow Suno music now?
Check the model, not just the Suno brand. On September 8, 2026, Suno announced that tracks made using its new industry-partner model would become eligible for distribution through Believe and TuneCore. The announcement also distinguishes earlier Suno models that did not meet those companies’ standards. It does not establish eligibility for every older Suno recording. TuneCore’s current test is the training dataset used by the generative model. Its rule applies at any point in the creative process, so adding a human vocal is not, by itself, evidence that a recording qualifies. Before buying a plan, ask support about the exact model and release you intend to submit, and keep the response. Check TuneCore’s current framework.
AI-assisted, AI-generated and disclosure
Describe what the tool actually did: generated lyrics, a synthetic vocal, an instrumental, a composition, or only production processing. “AI-assisted” is too broad to settle eligibility on its own.
DistroKid’s AI Credits cover generated lyrics, audio and composition. Its instructions distinguish those uses from pitch correction and AI-assisted mixing or mastering, which do not require those credits. Spotify and Apple Music currently display the credits. Disclosure does not replace permission to distribute. LANDR requires you to declare generated elements during upload and can request rights evidence if a release is flagged. LANDR’s documentation requirements.
What to check before choosing a distributor
- Document the recording. Record the tool, model version, dates, plan and generated elements. Keep the relevant license terms and permissions for samples, lyrics and collaborators with your release files.
- Check eligibility before the annual fee. Send the distributor your specific workflow if its published policy leaves a question unanswered. A general “we support AI” statement is less useful than an answer about your track.
- Check destinations and features separately. List the streaming stores, social platforms and matching services you need. Compare that list with the exclusions above.
- Budget for your release schedule. Consider the number of songs, artist profiles and optional services you need, as well as the subscription or release fee. Policy fit comes before a low headline price.
- Submit accurate information. Follow disclosure fields and review feedback. Changing metadata or hiding generated elements does not establish the rights or eligibility a service requires.
A tool’s commercial-use permission and a distributor’s acceptance decision answer different questions. Neither is a promise that your recording has exclusive copyright protection or that every downstream platform will accept it.
Where selling direct fits
A distributor delivers recordings to services such as Spotify and Apple Music. A storefront gives listeners a place to hear your music and buy from you directly. You can use both, but opening a store does not automatically create an audience or distribute a release to streaming services.

No. You can sell through a storefront with a payment and delivery arrangement. You still need the rights to sell the music and must follow the services’ terms.
